By Grace Counseling is a ministry of By Grace Community Church. Brent Vallee, M.A. has a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) in Orlando, FL and is receiving professional supervision from Ryan Davidson M.Ed, LPC towards state licensure.

Counseling

Each one of us is created in God’s image but as we move through life we find ourselves struggling, burdened, stuck and less than perfect. Depression, anxiety, marital problems, sexual addiction and loss are just a few of the many issues we may find ourselves face to face with. Counseling is a place to find hope. Hope that real change is possible by a right relationship with God through His Son, Jesus, and meaningful relationships with other people. You are invited to hope and change by taking the first step and making an appointment today.

Appointments/Fee

The cost of counseling is $50 an hour (which typically consists of 50 minutes in session and 10 minutes paperwork completion by your counselor). However the first session is FREE so you can be sure this is a process you want to begin and scholarships are available for those in need.

Specialty Services

*Men’s Sexual Addictions Group - Are you a man struggling with pornography, sexual fantasy, promiscuous behavior or other sexual sin? There is hope! We offer a support/counseling group for men struggling with sexual sin entitled “Living in Freedom Everyday.” The cost is $15 a week for this week group plus $27 for the cost of the workbook. The group runs in eight week cycles.  Times and dates are as follows:

*Seminar: The Fight for Sexual Purity in the Church – This program is designed for churches and men’s groups and is intended to engage the heart and mind. The 2 hour seminar includes lecture and small group discussion for personal application. Together we will look at the problem of pornography and sexual sin in the church, God’s design for sex and tools to engage this battle in your own life and with their brothers in Christ. Suggested donation is $75.

*Career Counseling – Having a hard time figuring out what field you should work in or what career you should begin? Join Brent Vallee for four hours of individual counseling as we look at your strengths, interests, and passions together to get you headed in the right direction. Cost is just $109 and materials included are included.

*Couples/Pre-Marital Counseling – Looking to strengthen your marriage or get your upcoming marriage off on the right foot. The Prepare/Enrich program will help you discover where you need to grow and help you build a firm foundation. The cost is $149 and includes four one hour counseling sessions and the cost of the Prepare/Enrich test. (This is not meant to replace meeting with your Pastor for pre-marital counseling but as a supplement to it.)
